Welcome to Zap Mailbox. By purchasing a plan and using our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Service Description & Mail Handling

  • The Service: Zap Mailbox provides a physical New Zealand street address for mail and parcel receipt.

  • Mail Scanning: By signing up, you explicitly authorize Zap Mailbox to open and scan the contents of your incoming letters to provide you with digital copies via email and/or WhatsApp.

  • Turnaround Time: We aim to scan and upload all standard mail within 24 hours of arrival at our facility (excluding Sundays and public holidays).

2. Customer Identification (KYC)

  • To prevent fraud and illegal activity, all clients must provide valid, government-issued photo identification (such as a NZ Driver’s License or Passport) upon registration.

  • We reserve the right to suspend or cancel any account immediately if false identity information is provided.

3. Prohibited Items

You agree not to have the following items sent to your Zap Mailbox address:

  • Illegal goods, controlled substances, or contraband.

  • Hazardous, flammable, or explosive materials.

  • Perishable items (food, livestock, etc.). Zap Mailbox reserves the right to refuse acceptance of any item deemed suspicious or dangerous and may report such items to local authorities.

4. Parcel Holding & Forwarding Policy

  • Local Pickup: We accept courier parcels and hold them securely at no extra cost. Clients must coordinate via WhatsApp to arrange a specific pickup window.

  • Forwarding Rates: If you request physical forwarding of a parcel, you agree to pay the actual NZ Post courier ticket cost plus a flat $5 handling fee before the item is shipped.

  • Unclaimed Mail: Physical mail and parcels will be held securely for a maximum of 30 days. If mail is unclaimed or forwarding fees are unpaid after 30 days, the items will be securely shredded or disposed of.

5. Privacy & Data Security

  • Data Protection: We treat your mail with 100% confidentiality. Digital scans are handled securely, and physical documents are stored in a restricted-access, locked facility.

  • Information Sharing: We will never sell or share your personal information, email, phone number, or scanned documents with third parties, except when strictly required by New Zealand law or law enforcement.

  • Shredding: Once you instruct us to destroy a letter, it is permanently destroyed using a high-security document shredder.

6. Limitation of Liability

  • Zap Mailbox acts as a mail receiver and scanner. We are not responsible for mail that is lost, delayed, or damaged by carrier networks (such as NZ Post or independent couriers) before it reaches our facility or after it leaves for forwarding.

  • We are not liable for any business loss, financial loss, or indirect damages resulting from a delayed or missed mail notification.

7. Cancellation & Refunds

  • Month-to-Month plans can be canceled at any time, and billing will stop at the end of the current monthly cycle.

  • 3-Month and 1-Year plans are heavily discounted upfront commitments and are non-refundable.
